Le ville est en effet trÃ¨s prÃ©sente dans cet album, tout comme dans les albums d'IAM de cette Ã©poque. Akhenaton y revendique une identitÃ© marseillaise ("Bad Boys de Marseille" I et II) et invite La Fonky Family et IAM sur ces titres. DÃ©crivant l'univers de la banlieue, de Marseille ou d'ailleurs (Un Brin de Haine, Lettres aux Hirondelles), Akhenaton donne dans MÃ©tÃ¨que et Mat ses rÃ©flexions sur les inÃ©galitÃ©s, sur le monde musical et la France de l'Ã©poque. Enfin, cet album comporte aussi des titres plus spirituels (PromÃ©thÃ©e) ou plus humoristiques (Je suis Peut-Ãªtre, Ã‰clater un type des Assedic, J'ai pas de face). 300 000 exemplaires de MÃ©tÃ¨que et Mat se sont vendus.
