The 2006 GTI Journey To The East Lyrics by Tony Cacace, Jennifer De Guzman, Adam Loero Performed by Tony Cacace, John Laporga, Adam Loero ---------------------------- Here's a little story I've got to tell About 26 students you know so well It started way back in history With Dean Wei, Shirley Lin, and Dr. JT It was four years ago, Dean Wei had an idear, To send her students overseas, and kick them into gear, in a foreign land with a guiding hand they would grow to be responsible, and an SJSU fan. One single person she be, But not alone in this valley. She called her old friends Those with Benjamins. Money was the issue and to this they gave her ends. Looking for a name, One to get her by, She asked herself one question How' bout GTI? Sooooo next there were the logistics; to set the whole trip up Two weeks spent in Asia was enough to get her stuck. In came Shirley Lin, rising to the test Her sprits were high, her skill were sharp, she had to be the best. Quick on the phone and fast on the keys, Lin had the businesses beg on their knees, "Oh please send your students" is what they would say "To make it worth your while, we'll even pay their way" That was that, the trip was set, except for one small thing who would guide the students as they traveled through Beijing Only one man was good enough for the job. His name, Dr. Tsao, not Dr. Bob! As the story goes the man became a hero, But he needed twenty-six, none of them a zero. We all sent in our stuff, we all said, "Choose me!" And here we are today making history. But now I'm getting ahead, ahead of my story. We had a lot of work before we got the glory. Goin' to China, Now I don't want to brag, and I don't want to boast But Hitchin' a ride were Barez and the Provost! We were in the company of San Jose elite. If you want to know the time, Barez has got the beat! First stop on the trip, a rainy place to pave the way Fourteen hours on a plane, and we were in Taipei! We saw where they made the nuclear power, Stuffed ourselves with dumplings, stayed out at all hours. "Nee how" is what was said in place of hello, "Shir Shir" meaning thank you, and "Boo" meaning no. We couldn't stay long The tour it was raging, And what could be wrong With going to Beijing? We met the Prez at Google, we climbed the Great Wall Scholars in the City--we were right on the ball. On the street the boys chomped scorpion and snake Then on to our next stop, a place famous for a lake. In Honzow we were chillin', the girls all drank tea... We learned what was what at a conductor company. Cruisin' through the temple, listening to the monks, Yeah, we were full of culture, not uneducated punks! From hangzhou, to shanghai, In an airplane we did fly We stood on the corner, said to the girls, Ni How Ka "I". Shanghai is a city with a river called Huangpu. We were out on the streets; we had so much to do. Haggle with the vendors who call "Hey Lady!" Watch out for the women who offer you "Massage-y!" There is a new China being built in Pudong. Chairman Mao is gone and they're building it strong. It's the land of the future, land of bright light. We shopped in the day and went out all night. Not all good things gotta come to an end-- GTI will live forever, as long as we stay friends. One more thing remains for us to do-- That's why we're here tonight: to say "Thank you!" Nothing could be fina For twenty-six cool cats but three were mad rhymas. (Performed live on October 04, 2006, at the GTI Appreciation and Recognition Dinner, College of Engineering, San Jose State Univ.) -- Info About GTI -- In order for SJSU students to thrive in the highly competitive global economy, it is critical for them to develop international perspectives and knowledge. To this end, the College of Engineering has established a one-million-dollar Global Technology Initiative, whose mission is to give American students a global perspective with a focus on technology and business developments in the Asia-Pacific region. The donors of the Initiative are business leaders in the high-technology industry with strong business ties in the Silicon Valley and the Asia-Pacific region. Rio Tinto (1999) mining, sponsors of the Macfarlane Burnet Centre's 'Rio Tinto Aboriginal Fund' 2. Orica (2000) explosives, cyanide, detonators, ammonium nitrate (previously part of Imperial Chemical Industries, or ICI (chairman of the Board, Ben Lochtenberg, also chairman of MHRI - easily Victoria's biggest mental health research institution) 3. Macfarlane Burnet Centre (1997) featuring Professor John Mills, Mr Ray Williams (currently in jail, but not for genocide), and Sir Roderick Carnegie on the Board. HIH Winterthur Insurance, whose collapse left Williams in jail, was the biggest corporate sponsor of the Macfarlane Burnet Centre at the time of its relocation and massive expansion (1997-2001). Other major sponsors were Rio Tinto, Smith Kline Beecham (SKB, now GSK after merger with Glaxo-Wellcome) and BHP. Defying the most paranoid imagination, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the publicly-funded Mental Health Research Institute, Ben Lochtenberg, also exported cyanide, explosives and electronic detonators around the world as the Chairman of Orica (previously ICI explosives) according to their 1998 Annual Report. He held both positions simultaneously for more than 10 years. 4. Mental Health Research Institute (1997) Part 2 continues with details of the MBC International Health Unit in Indonesia, Papua, New Guinea, Pacific Islands, East Africa, India, China (Tibet), Mongolia, South East Asia and among Indigenous (but not white Australia).

Download now at http://www.zshare.net/download/1020739833f616a7 Decay brings credible experience and an established catalog to the veteran hip-hop collective, the Molemen. Currently residing on the Northside, but formerly staying on both the South and the West sides of Chicago; Decay can truly claim the title "All-City Emcee". Having been exposed to the eclectic styles and genres found embedded in the various neighborhoods that he lived in as a youth, Decay was also fortunate enough to be exposed to reggae & soul music from his mother, which allowed him a broader view of music and instilled an eclectic taste. Growing up immersing himself in the wordplay of emcees on all sides of the lyrical spectrum, from Too Short to Public Enemy, Decay brings with him the raw sound and the boom-bap essence of that era. Rhyming seriously since 2001, Decay joins the Moles after already having two releases to his credit. Decay represents a long legacy of Chicago emcees who balance gritty, reality lyricism with enough elements of humor and punchlines to not be written off as preachy or alienating. He was able to find that balance after realizing that although "In Retrospect", his first solo album, had powerful lyricism and solid pro-black anthems, it may have been a little too militant for the average listener. His second release, "Fluent & Decay are City Slick: The Antique Black", kept the strong messages of black empowerment and the urban struggle intact, but it was delivered in a slightly more subtle way supplemented with witty humor that didn't overwhelm the average hip hop fan. Decay feels that his music is a much needed counterbalance to what he views as an overabundance of one type of rap flooding the market. And although he sees value in some of the modern mainstream rap, he feels like there isn't enough of a contrasting message present. Decay is striving to be an agent that will bring some much-needed reality back to the rap industry. Decay, along with colleagues Scheme and Astonish, recently unleashed "The Biz" Mole Mixtape, which is his first Molemen release. Not wasting any time, Decay is working hard to release his first Mole LP, currently untitled. Look for production by the Moles, as well as the heavy presence of his Green Llama crew. The new LP is tentatively slated to be released in second quarter 2008.

OFFICIALLY ON MYSPACE!!! READ THIS!!!!!!!!!! it's a simple music video, i know. but its basically the song i want you to hear. nothing about this music video is special and its hardly a music video haha :) If you dont like this type of song, dont hate on me for it, theres a lot of people who do like this song. if you have any opinions on how young i sound or am, i dont care, theres a lot of hip hop artists who start off young. another thing, i dont just rap about girls, girls, girls and more girls, i can get deep lyrically i just sometimes like creating music that is somewhat strictly for dancing to at a dance or in a club or something. songs in which you dont need to really think about, just dance to (if you know what i mean) i have songs like Just Another Love Story, about how a guy treated his girl really wrong and didnt appreciate her and now she wants nothing to do with him. I can get deep so dont bash me for a somewhat "dirty" song. it may not be first choice of music to listen to, but just move along and wait if you want to hear more songs of which i can make, a lot different than this one :) This is my new song created October 23rd. hope you like it! http://www.myspace.com/jeydonwale

Biggie Smalls: The Rap Phenomenon SYNOPSIS: With only two years in the music industry, Biggie Smalls aka the Notorious B.I.G and the self-proclaimed "rap phenomenon", was able to release two multi-platinum solos albums, Ready to Die and the a double disc Life After Death, Junior Mafia's group album Conspiracy, and Lil' Kim's solos debut Hardcore. With over 20 million alums sold, Biggie became arguably the rap's first superstar. In 1997, at the ripe age of 24, Biggie's life was put to a tragic end. He left behind an unrivaled legacy that inspired a generation and over 10 years later still influences the young rappers and artists that continue to borrow his lyrics and style. The world has heard his music and the story of his unsolved murder, but behind the controversy and drama, what made Biggie a superstar? What made everybody love him and relate to him like no other? How did he take his music beyond the streets of Brooklyn to become a hip hop legend? How did he make "fat and ugly as ever" sexy and cement his fashion and lifestyle in hip-hop history? With a bevy of unauthorized documentaries produced by people who never met the man, Biggie remains an enigma to his fans as the same handful of interviews and video clips have been recycled in the media for the past decade with almost no performance footage of the rapper documented on tape. Now for the first time, in a celebration of his life and music, select personal video footage shot by Biggie's own camera by his crew -uncut and uncensored will be released to the public. Take a step closer to the man, watch how he lived on-and-off the road, share his lifestyle and day-to-day antics, ride with him on his first tour, see his most intimate performances and shows, hear from his close friends and fans and discover why: Biggie Smalls is the Rap Phenomenon!
