BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An East Baton Rouge grand jury indicted 15-year-old Michael Nicholas on four counts of attempted second-degree murder Thursday (Oct. 23rd). Nicholas allegedly shot three people, and tried to shoot another person but missed, two weeks ago at the Rite Aid on Plank Road. Prosecutors say he will be tried as an adult. Surveillance video shows, who prosecutors say is Michael Nicholas, enter the Rite Aid. Three customers are lined up to make purchases. The gunman backs up, drops his bag on the ground, and then begins blasting without warning. He then rushes behind the counter, fumbles around a bit, and orders the cashier to open the register. He fires another shot, missing the cashier. Then, you can see the gunman leaving the building only a couple of minutes later. Prosecutors say they plan to introduce the graphic video of the shooting to the jury, when it's eventually seated in this case. Two weeks later, the district attorney's office has charged Nicholas. Prosecutors make no bones about charging him as an adult. "You have three individuals with bullets in their body. You have a store now absent its cash. It was done brutally, it was done recklessly, and it was done intentionally," says lead prosecutor Aaron Brooks. The public defender's office has already been assigned to defend Nicholas. Prosecutors say the crime fits the definition of an adult criminal matter. "When his conduct was evaluated and the evidence was reviewed, a decision was made that this is the proper treatment for the individual," Brooks says. Defense attorney Margaret Lagatudda has been assigned to the case. She did not return calls Thursday evening asking for comments on the case. In order to get the teen charged as an adult, prosecutors had to argue for what's called a juvenile transfer. The defense had filed a motion with juvenile court to block the move to adult court. The district attorney's office chose to move quickly based on the evidence they had obtained from the Rite Aid, witnesses, and others. Only $153 was taken and fortunately, not one of the three victims shot died. Veteran defense attorney Margaret Lagatudda recently defended multiple murderer Anthony Bell. Nicholas will next be transferred to the parish prison and he will be formally charged in front of Judge Don Johnson in two weeks.

This is my all pencil portrait of Lil Wayne "Weezy F Baby" & Baby "Birdman"! Estimated completion time = 45+hrs Unquestionably Cash Money/Universal Motown Records recording artist, Lil Wayne will go down in history as the best rapper of his generation. Indeed he may go down as one of the best artists in hip-hop period. One look at Lil Waynes impeccable track record will convince even the most ardent skeptic that the New Orleans born lyricist is a strong contender for the crown of Greatest of All Times. In the span of his 13-year career, Lil Wayne has sold over six million units, including his magnum opus, The Carter II (2005) which sold over 2.5 million units. He has been featured on numerous high profile singles including Fat Joes Grammy nominated single Make It Rain, and in the past two years, Lil Wayne has recorded over 1,000 songs and freestyles. According to MTV, Lil Wayne has released more music in the last two years than the legendary Tupac Shakur. Now with his highly anticipated sixth and arguably his best album The Carter III, Lil Waynes career and legacy is set to climb to even greater heights. "I made The Carter III so that whatever song is on, it will stick with you forever, says Wayne. Thats why I took my time with it. I wanted it to be a classic. A classic it will truly be. With production by Alchemist, Cool & Dre, David Banner, Kanye West, and Jim Jonsin, to name a few, and guest appearances by some of todays premiere recording artists including T-Pain (Got Money), Bobby Valentino (Mr. Officer), Babyface (Comfortable), Juelz Santana & Fabolous (Aint Got Nuthin) and a special guest appearance by the legendary R&B singer Ms. Betty Wright (Play With Fire), Tha Carter III is an eclectic collection of 15 songs that range from simply brilliant to sheer genius. The first single from the Tha Carter III, Lollipop, featuring Static Major is the bubbling lead single that has Wayne delivering his clever lyrics laced with racy double entendres over a funky slow burning beat. Lil Waynes second single, A Milliwhich was produced by Bangladesh (Ciara & Ludacris), is a booming 808 laced track augmented by a tight rhythmic snare, accented by handclaps and a sample that matches Waynes staccato flow perfectly. In Mr. Carter featuring Jay-Z, we find the two trading introspective lyrics about their lives and legacy in the rap game with Wayne at his lyrical best dropping stream of conscious gems like: I got the flo, Im tryin to see the roof/Didnt wear a bulletproof so I got shot, you can see the proof/Blind eyes can look at me and see the truth/Wonder if Stevie do? Born DeWayne Michael Carter, Jr. and raised in New Orleans infamously poor Hollygrove neighborhood, Lil Wayne was discovered by Cash Money CEO Brian Birdman Williams when a mutual friend introduced him to the pre-teen rapper. The Birdman immediately saw a spark in the youngsters eyes and took him under his wing. In 1993, Lil Wayne and fellow Cash Money rapper B.G. came together as a duo called The BGs and released their debut EP True Stories. In 1997, a 15 year old Wayne joined forces with BG, Juvenile and Turk to form The Hot Boys for their debut album Get It How U Live. The record sold over 400,000 copies independently. The Hot Boys sophomore LP Guerilla Warfare (1999) went platinum and earned Wayne critical acclaim. That set the stage for his platinum selling 1999 solo debut Tha Block Is Hot. The album yielded a number one single with the title tune and was certified double platinum. The following year Wayne released his sophomore LP Lights Out, which reached gold status and in 2002, Lil Wayne dropped his third solo LP 500 Degrees. It too went gold. Two years later Wayne released The Carter, the first album in the trilogy that would elevate Wayne to superstar status. The Carter (2004) was a commercial success selling over one million copies and reaching #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart. In 2005, Wayne released The Carter II, which sold over 1.8 million records. 2006 saw the release of Like Father, Like Son, a collaboration between Lil Wayne and Birdman which has sold over 750,000 units. GQ Magazine named Lil Wayne as its Man Of The Year for 2007. Rolling Stone Magazine tagged him as Best MC of 2008 while Blender Magazine (2008) named him the Best Rock Star Alive. So it should come as no surprise that his latest solo outing finds the hip-hop super star at the top of his game. With Tha Carter III, Lil Wayne proves to the world why he is indeed considered the best rapper alive and one of the great recording artists of his generation. Subscribe! Mike Jones - Mamma Told Me Don't Cry This is an old song off one of his mixtapes back in his Swishahouse days. January 6, 1981 in Aldine, Texas, U.S.) is an American southern rap artist and actor, who initially was affiliated with the record label Swishahouse, then left to be the owner of Ice Age Entertainment. Mike Jones has a little brother who is an artist and part of Ice Age who goes by "Lil Soulja". Recently, Jones announced his return to Swishahouse to distribute Ice Age. Mike Jones owns a nightclub which is managed by "Celebrity Sundays" in which a well-known celebrity will make an appearance. His major promotional gimmick is to sell and hand out shirts reading "Property of Mike Jones" on the front and his cell phone number, 281-330-8004, on the back, as well as shouting out his name and cell phone number throughout his mixtapes and albums, encouraging fans to call him on his mobile phone. Although most people get a "this number has been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service" message more recently, Jones says (when asked in several interviews) the number "still works, it is just extremely busy". Jones's AOL screen name is also noted on his official website. His song "Houston Dynamo (Don't Play)." is the official team anthem of the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. Produced by Mannie Fresh, the song is a version of Jones' song "Don't Play Around," which was originally set to be on his CD The American Dream before it was changed from an LP to an EP.
