Groupe au parcours sulfureux, EXPRESSION DIREKT est composé de DELTA, KERTRA, LE T.I.N. et WEEDY, tous issus des STK, une bande réputée du début des années 90 basée au Val Fourré à Mantes-la-Jolie. Première apparition discographique sur la compilation Ghetto Youth Progresss en 1994. Le premier titre Mon Esprit Part En C***, premier morceau authentiquement racailleux de l'histoire du rap français, est aujourd'hui un classique. Mathieu Kassovitz l'intègre à la B.O. de La Haine. Pour la compilation inspirée du film, ils signent Dealer pour survivre, un autre classique. En 96, LE T.I.N. et WEEDY, auto-produisent l'album Guet-Apens. Cet album figure depuis dans le classement des légendes du rap français. Le succès de cet album sera confirmé en 97 avec le hit-single La Roue Tourne. En 98, le premier album d'EXPRESSION DIREKT, Le Bout du Monde sort chez Island. Les radios prétendues rap et les médias de masses interdirent l'accès aux plateaux de télévisions à ce groupe dont l'identité et la musique reflètent trop bien la réalité des cités. De son expérience en Major, EXPRESSION DIREKT apprend une chose : mieux vaut régner en enfer que servir au paradis. En se basant sur cette idée, le groupe sort en 2000 Wesh On Ecoute Ou Quoi ?, album qui marque le retour à l'indépendance. Avec son propre label Phenomene Records, LE T.I.N. produit Le Code de l'Honneur, premier album de Rohff. KERTRA, quant à lui réalise son premier projet solo Le Labyrinthe. En 2002, alors que le rap français s'intègre toujours plus dans la variété, EXPRESSION DIREKT entre dans le Top Album avec D.Terminé, le dernier album du groupe le plus crapuleux. Kertra sort Le Labyrinthe 2 en 2003. Weedy sort son solo 24 Heures d'un M.C Yégri en 2005. Restent encore à venir un album solo de Delta et l'album enregistré par Le T.I.N. avec son frère John Deido (de La Brigade). EXPRESSION DIREKT n'a pas fini de perturber le système en place. Quand tout ira bien, EXPRESS DI n'existera plus.

For LEP A reflection on the Vietnam and Iraq Wars and the role of resistance. Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) is a tax-exempt non-profit organization and corporation, originally created to oppose the Vietnam War. VVAW describes itself as a national veterans' organization that campaigns for peace, justice, and the rights of all United States military veterans. It publishes a twice-yearly newsletter The Veteran, previously published more frequently as 1st Casualty (1971-1972) and then as Winter Soldier (1973-1975). VVAW considers itself as "anti-war," although not in the pacifistic sense."VVAW was organized to give voice to the growing opposition among returning servicemen to the decade-long war in Indochina, and grew rapidly to a membership of over 40,000 throughout the United States as well as active duty GIs stationed in Vietnam. Through ongoing actions and grassroots organization, VVAW exposed the truth about U.S. involvement in Southeast Asia and their first-hand experiences helped many other Americans to see the unjust nature of that war. "VVAW quickly took up the struggle for the rights and needs of veterans. In 1970, they started the first rap groups to deal with traumatic after-effects of war, setting the example for readjustment counselling at Vet Centers now. They exposed the shameful neglect of many disabled vets in VA Hospitals and helped draft legislation to improve educational benefits and create job programs. VVAW fought for amnesty for war resisters, including vets with bad discharges. They helped make known the negative health effects of exposure to chemical defoliants and the VA's attempts to cover-up these conditions as well as their continued refusal to provide treatment and compensation for many Agent Orange victims. "The VVAW believe that service to their country and communities did not end when they were discharged. They remain committed to the struggle for peace and for social and economic justice for all people." Contemporary country singer/songwriter Brad Paisley was born October 28, 1972, in Glen Dale, WV; given his first guitar at age eight, he delivered his first public performance at church two years later. With his 50-something guitar teacher Clarence "Hank" Goddard and two of the older man's seasoned musician buddies, the teenaged Paisley formed his first band, the C-Notes, and at age 12 began writing his own material. After performing in front of the local Rotary Club, he was invited to appear on Wheeling station WWVA's famed Saturday night broadcast Jamboree USA. Paisley's debut was so well received that he was invited to join the program full-time, and in the years to follow he opened for the likes of the Judds, Roy Clark, and Little Jimmy Dickens. He later attended Nashville's Belmont University, serving an internship with ASCAP; the contacts Paisley made there helped him land a songwriting deal with EMI, and he also appeared on countless demos. Signing to Arista, he issued his debut solo album, Who Needs Pictures, in 1999. The record produced two chart-topping singles in "He Didn't Have to Be," an ode to loving stepfathers, and "We Danced" and also earned generally positive reviews for its diversity of country styles. In the meantime, Paisley recorded a duet with Chely Wright, "Hard to Be a Husband, Hard to Be a Wife," for the Backstage at the Grand Ole Opry compilation; the two later collaborated on several songs for Wright's Never Love You Enough album. The sequel to Paisley's debut, Part II, was released in 2001 and promptly returned him to the Top Five with "Two People Fell in Love." "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)" gave Paisley his third chart-topper, and "Wrapped Around" fell one spot short of becoming his fourth. "I Wish You'd Stay" became the fourth Top Ten hit from the record in early 2003. At the beginning of August 2005, Paisley put together a short "director's commentary" preview of his next album for his fan base to download.
